6cm ovarian cyst

Hey guys,

Last Feb I had a lap to remove a large cyst on my left ovary and some endometriosis that they could remove at the time (not all was removed due to it being close to some organs etc) and they also inserted a mirena coil as I had the copper before and it is supposed to “help”.

Now, about 14 months later, I had another internal scan as I had some unusual bleeding and pain and they’ve told me that I have a 6cm cyst on my right ovary. I’m currently waiting to be referred back to gynae again but does anyone know what might happen next? Will I need another key hole surgery to remove this?

Any advice / experiences would be much appreciated x

Hallo! If it’s a chocolate cyst (endometrioma) I would definitely consider getting it removed by laparoscopy as you could have complications/severe pain if it bursts.
