well I have been cancelled 2 and it’s almost here got my full hysterectomy and bowel surgery March 10 has anyone had this and any advice for recovery etc
It should be key hole but have been told that I could need to be cut to get better access

I had a hysterectomy and endo surgery in March my bowel was fused but I didn’t have any bowel reconstruction, and I would suggest u buy a foam wedge support pillow for ur bed to keep u in a propped up position while u sleep because I couldn’t lay down flat comfortably for the first couple of weeks and sleeping with pillows propped was extremely painful for my neck ( I have neck problems so might not be as bad for u) also buy nightgowns u won’t want to wear any waist band at all I couldn’t, and I don’t know if u have someone to prepare food for u but I would suggest buying things that u can get urself and don’t require any prep because u won’t be able to stand to make food….but I don’t know how it works there but in Canada it was a day surgery and I was sent home that day, if u have a choice I would suggest staying in the hospital

Hi Unicorn111, I cant give u any advice but just wanted to say good luck 😊 I have my surgery booked for 2nd March 🤞 mine sounds like it's going to be the same as urs but I've been told to expect to be in hospital for at least 2 nights 😬 some say to take peppermint to help with the wind, slippers or shoes u can just slip on and big knickers 😂 hope everything goes ok xx
