I'm a bit uncomfortable but bearable. I'm being spoilt and house looks like a florist and soo many sweets. I was so glad to get home they released me at 9.00 pm last night. I also had the coil inserted. I'm surprisingly ok. We are tough! 😃

I’m having the same on Friday lol coil and all! Glad to hear it all went well and your being spoiled and made to feel better with lovely flowers! What time did they make you go in? I’ve to be there for 7.30am but not sure what time I’ll be in theatre! On my first lap I was the last one to go 😂😂 typical as I was so nervous all day and no food or drink made it worse! So did they go through with you the results etc? Sorry for all the questions lol just nice to talk to someone who just had the same procedure as I am about to have, hope your signed off work for a couple of weeks to get fully recovered xx

I had to be there for 11.45 and went to surgery at 2.00pm. The rest is a bit of blur but they did come and talk to me in recovery. They saved my ovary as was going to have it removed with the tube and old endometriosis legions. The coil seems to be agreeing with me so far. The surgeon signed me off for 2 weeks. They were lovely. I've booked in with the nurse Friday to check my wounds as a bit squeamish!! 😃

Light at the end of the tunnel. I know what you mean. We are desperate to have anything that will take the pain away done but when it’s actually time, it is a little bit scary. You will be grand and I wish you all the best with your operation. Hopefully this is your last. I’m having a full hysterectomy on the 17th of April. Been off work for 7 months. It’s been a horrible, painful journey but hopefully my last operation too. Stay positive and don’t let the anxiety get to you. This is a step

In the right direction. All the best Blake. Lots of love and well wishes Claire xx

Awww thanks so much for your lovely message! I wish you all the best for your hysterectomy and a speedy recovery too my dear! That will come around quick xxx

Best of luck for your operation! I had my first laparoscopy on Friday with a coil fitted and feel surprisingly a lot better than I had imagined! I also got the dreaded period the day I went in for surgery and was crying by the time I went down to theatre with pain and relief that something was finally being done! Think positive thoughts and try to have a distraction if you can? A good book or a podcast? I actually listened to a podcast about endometriosis and it kind of gave me a strengthened resolve! It was called Conversations with Pussy, no 3 ‘endo what?’

Wishing you well and positivity xx

May it go exceedingly well! I am waiting for a date for my third one because of cysts and am freaking out about the wait. So glad you have it booked in. I suspect it is the whole: 'Want to get it done but don't want to have surgery' dilemma I keep having too (?), but I wish you swift recovery and that this will keep you well for oh so many years after.

Hi

How did everything go? Hopefully you're well on the mend by now.

I'm still waiting for my first op and I'm so frightened as I've never had any surgery before and I'm super squemish. I've suffered with what they think is endo for about 18 months but done everything to put off surgery but I'm finally realising this isn't going away on its own :) A recent scan showed my chocolate cyst has grown very big and i have another structure in my fallopian tube. Im waiting on an MRI scan later this week and then surgery will be imminent I'm sure.

Any advice you can give on coping with the nerves would be really appreciated :) I'm really no good at facing my fears generally so not sure how I'm going to feel come the day of surgery.

xx
