Bloating

Girls I really need some advice as I'm on lose ends now. So I had my lap done in November which minimal endo was found and removed. Since September I've been bloated everyday and from this day on I'm still the same and the pain with it has been awful my last period was last week and that was the worse it has ever been. It's like my tummy is swollen near the bottom If that makes sense? It's starting to make me feel so depressed as I think maybe I have put in weight but I haven't it's bloating. I've tried everything and even on a low FODMAPdiet and that's doing nothing for it. Just need some help with what to do? Sorry for ranting on.

Sounds ridiculous and it is possibly all in my head but I find peppermint tea helps. One of the nurses mentioned it whilst I was having a blood test. That and hot water bottles galore. Hope something helps you soon.

I’m in the same boat. Had my lap end of December and my stomach is still as big as it was before the surgery below the belly button. It appears as a little pregnant belly. Thing is I haven’t gained any weight and actually lost. It’s so depressing. The doctor told me it’s probably still inflamed and just will take time. Praying it will go down soon.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I’m not in pain just swollen. I plan to start doing castor oil packs and taking serrapatase in a few weeks after my next cycle. Hoping that may help the swelling and unblock my tube!

Have you tried reaching back out to the doctor? 2 months seem a little long but I know it varies woman to woman

I had an appointment in December with my coeliac consultant and he told me to try a low FODMAP diet which isn't doing anything. I've got an appointment next month with endo specialist so gonna tell him everything I've been experiencing.

I was goin to say have u thought it mayb ibs related?

Only i had same problem, i have had years of period problems and finally had the lap last year and nothing...

I was then sent to a gastro and naturo path( paid for that) and was guided to give up gluten dairy and eat little and often. No spice.

Within 3 weeks my bloat had gone , 6 months down line no bellyaches and pain and my periods have gone from 10 out of 10 in pain to mayb a 2, i can get by with paracetamol.

It is very common that endo and ibs can b related or can b mistaken for each other!

I would never have thought i was intolerant to gluten but i am.

It bloats me massively and give me pain.

I have introduced dairy back into diet but i dont eat much anyway.

Also i stopped eating red meat to as i noticed that would start pain.

Also peppermint oil capsules helps digestive system.

Also about day before period i take a couple of buscopan it stops bloat and it really works

I have coeliac disease anyway so I'm on a gluten free diet and been put on a low FODMAP diet and that's doing nothing either so I really don't know what's going on so fed up with it. Think I'll have to go back to the doctors and try and get some more answers can't keep going on like this.

It sounds to me that somewhere along the line ur taking in gluten without knowing it as all what ur explaining is exactly how i was until I gave it up.

Coeliac is really serious it a autoimmune desease and if u are ingesting it somehow it will have this effect on u.

It will inflame all ur organs and joints and make u really ill and in pain

You may already have tried this but have you gone dairy free completely? I understand that many people with coeliacs have problems with lactose as well (ex boyfriend and a close family friend). There are two possible issues.

1/ lactose intolerance

2/ casin intolerance. I have to avoid all A1 type casin (cows milk) but am fine with A2 type (sheep, goats, buffalo) I read that this is not uncommon in endometriosis sufferers.

You have to be as strict about it as you are with gluten (I'm non coeliac gluten sensitive btw). The FODMAP diet looks at lactose only and allows you some so for me it involved exposure to things I can't tolerate.

Hope you find some relief soon.

Thank you lovely I have cut out diary and just eating lactose free stuff but to be fair I only have cheese and the almond milk that's all I eat that dairy.

I'm just in constant pain just don't know what to do anymore making me so upset.

It's dreadful isn't it. I'm still swollen from my lap in November to. Plus it upset all my bowel issues. I'm hoping it will go down and not stay like this. Like you said it's swollen low down.
