Bloated and swollen stomach?

I can’t be the only one who gets horrendously bloated and swollen throughout the month; I often look genuinely pregnant which is embarrassing but also so uncomfortable because my normal clothes don’t fit.

Has anyone else ever thought about buying maternity jeans just for the days when they are most swollen? Is this a completely insane idea?!

I’m so sick of having to unbutton my jeans in order to be slightly more comfortable at work when my stomach is massive.

Yes it is totally normal to have bloated stomach, I don’t use jeans as often anymore, even when endometriosis wasn’t diagnosed back in my teens I did get bloated stomach no to the extend that it gets now tough .... I do look pregnant and my body has changed a lot, I didn’t have stretch marks now I have large ones due to my stomach enlarging every single month. Specially women with endometriosis tent to get bloated throughout the cycle not only when the period is on.

Yeah I feel like I’m bloated more often than not now, and it’s specifically my stomach because if I go up a size in clothes then they don’t fit anywhere apart from my stomach.

Very annoying and uncomfortable!

Thanks for your reply :) x

It's not insane at all to buy clothes that don't hurt! It was a necessity for me. I had to give up on the idea of wearing jeans because maternity jeans didn't quite work for me, but I started wearing maternity leggings and tights when my bloating got worse and never looked back. It's so much better. Next are good for maternity tights, and H&M are good for maternity leggings. Normal dresses that are stretchy and can accommodate bloat, and long tops or dresses that are floaty, roomy or "oversized" in style are great for bloating. Going one size up can work too.

Conveniently, once I got pregnant, my bloat-friendly wardrobe meant no one realised I was pregnant until more than half way through! 😂

Ah thank you, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one resorting to these things.

And thanks for the clothing tips, I think some maternity leggings will be coming my way soon 😂🙏🏻

Also glad to hear about a pregnancy success; I’ve been trying to conceive for a while now with no luck so hearing that other people got pregnant gives me hope! Xx

😄Solidarity! The H&M leggings aren't quite as thick as I would like and don't come in different lengths, but good enough. They tend to have them in stock in larger shops, which is unusual for maternity stuff.

Natural conception didn't work for me even after an extensive lap but IVF was successful. It felt like a miracle, but there is hope! xx
