Does anyone else get bloating on a daily basis? It’s worse on my period but I have been getting bloating constantly for several months now. I’ve heard of endo belly but thought this generally affects you during your period and not on a daily basis?

Constant bloating
Hi Luci20,i am bloated every single day.(Bigger before period is natural). I look pregnant.Have trouble to hide my tummy which is in pain too last 2,5 yrs.Cant wear jeans anymore...etc...Probability of endometriosis my GP said when i begged her to take my case seriously.
Hi Luci,Sorry to hear how you’re feeling, I experienced the same to the point where I couldn’t face jeans anymore! I’ve recently cut gluten out of my diet and I noticed a difference almost immediately. I never used to have a problem with gluten until a few years ago when I also started experiencing worse endo symptoms, there’s a lot of research out there about endo and gluten as well as some other common allergens, worth having a look into! It’s not easy but the difference I am feeling is incredible, not pain free but not feeling like I look 6 month pregnant every day!
I hope you get sorted soon x
Hi. Same here but no periods just bloating the meds make it worse. I’ve tried cutting out stuff but nothing works even water bloats me out. Certain foods make it even worse but nothing helps reduce it yet. Eating healthy salads doesn’t help. I wear elasticated trousers and no bra unless I have to go out as so bad. Interesting oats make it worse. Losing weight is a nightmare as I can’t get my waist measurement down. I f****** hate being female.
Hi Luci20
Bloating is one of many symptoms of endometriosis - usually around the time of your period but it can happen at any time.
As a couple of our forum users have suggested, the foods you eat can make a difference to bloating symptoms. However, there is not a 'one size fits all' diet for endometriosis - what works for one person may not work for another. Before making any changes with your diet I would recommend that you have a consultation with a qualified nutritional health coach or nutritional therapist. They will spend a lot of time with you talking about your health history, current diet, stress levels and treating you as the individual you are, before suggesting any tweaks to your current eating habits and lifestyle. To find a practitioner in your area, either visit bant.org.uk or ukhealthcoaches.com
Hope this helps!
Hi Luci, totally with you on this, tried keto diet for a bit, cutting out sugar & carbs…. But this is me on a daily basis….
Hi yes, i get bloating, eating small meals and plenty of fruit and veg seem to help me.
mine’s everyday too😩and gets even bigger if i’ve not been toilet for an hour or two or just after i’ve eaten
You might have tried this already, but if could be worth keeping a food diary for a bit to see if you notice a pattern with any of the foods you eat and bloating. Even foods that are good for endo like broccoli, kale etc can cause bloating - they were definitely culprits for me when my endo was bad.
I have suspected endometriosis and constant bloating despite a good diet and exercise.I find that Buscopan IBS capsules really help. I know that dairy, onions, and alcohol are triggers for me. I also can’t eat iceberg lettuce or cucumber.
It’s worth keeping a diary, but if you’re always bloated it’s difficult to determine triggers. I had endometrial ablation 3 weeks ago and the bloating is worse. If the ablation fails, the consultant has recommended a hysterectomy. It’s a big operation, but if it resolves my awful stomach issues and bi-monthly bleeding, I’m going to take it.
