after surgery

Ive always suffered with painful periods since i was12 ive tried all the contraceptive pills nothing seems to help. I also had all the anti inflammatory and the implant .I finally was seen by gynaecology who put me on medroxyprogesterone and ive been on this 2 years. Recently i had my operation to diagnose and the endo was burnt away .Anyone recommend anything to manage the pain as ive been told the medication I had been taking was only a 3 month course. And

I have been told very little about my options now .They have said I need to have a normal period but I'm dreading it as I was in so much pain.
