Post lap bellybutton

Hi, I'm 2 weeks post lap and curious if anyone else feels as if their bellybutton stitch is/was pulling down and causing pain? I have been to dr and have a mild wound infection so on antibiotics atm. This pulling down feeling seems to put pressure on my bladder and cause urethra shooting pain when urinating at times, so I'm thinking maybe nerve related. Anyone else had this issue and did it ease or are you left with it? I'm negative for uti so it's not that.

Yea, I had similar after my latest surgery, though I didn’t have a wound infection. It went away after about three weeks - I guess after the stitches dissolved? I think maybe go back to your GP if it doesn’t settle x

Yeah I deffo think it's stitch related now as my other stitches are dissolving more now and the tugging is slowly easing, I'm just hoping the uretha pain goes as its quite painful when it happens x

Hey! I've literally posted a similar thing about the belly button looking super scary this week! Yeh so mine feels like it's a painful stretching almost. And I've found the ones above my pubic line aren't dissolving like at all so it stings me if I bend in a certain way

Yeah same here 17 days for me and belly button is healing nicely but no sign of these stitches dissolving...I feel a tad frankinstien ish lol but the pulling down belly button pain has been the worst for me
