Bellybutton after lap

I had my bellybutton stitch removed then found another deep inside, I poked it around bit but thought nothing of it for a week. I just got out the shower and went to pick out what I thought was fluff buttress to be either a dark scab or fluff stuck to it with some sort of gunk, but probably a scab. I don't recall it bleeding, should I be concerned if it's been bleeding as I'm 3 weeks post lap and not really getting any pain from it other than the stitch x

As long as it isn't gushing blood/pus you should be fine. One of my incisions from my 2nd surgery had a similar situation and it bled a tiny bit and is all healed up now.

That's reassuring, not fancying a trip to the doctors and trying to make an appointment at this time of year!

Yeah just keep an eye on it for infections but I'm sure you'll be okay :)

I had the same issue with my belly button incision. It just wasn’t right and wasn’t healing. Went to the doctors and they gave me cream for it. I could see a very dark stitch and GP said no nurse there to remove it. So I removed it myself. It healed lovely after that.
