I had my second covid jab (Pfizer) two weeks ago. I had a pretty bad reaction and was ill for four days. All fine now though.
I’m currently on my period and it’s extremely heavy with bad clotting. Luckily the pain hasn’t been much worse than my usual. However, the most unusual thing is that I’ve been on my period for six days now, and it doesn’t seem to be subsiding at all. I’m on the pill, so my withdrawal bleeds only usually last a max of five days, with the last day or two being relatively light.
The heavy bleeding is making me really anaemic (I am taking iron supplements too). Again, not much out of the ordinary for me, but I haven’t had a period this heavy with clotting for a good while!
Did anyone else have changes to their menstruation after their covid jab?

Hi. Hope you are ok. Yes I had similar, fairly pain free these days but the cycle after both Pfizer jabs where the worst I’ve had in 2/3 years. Was fine after so I’m hoping it’s just the jab and not my endo coming back. I took lots of meds and tried to have a few easy days. Hope it passes off and you feel better soon. Xx
My GP has spoken to me about this and that it is now a recognised issue. She encouraged a yellow card report as without these they cannot montior side effects so I'd say report it.
Hi! I had the same. It happened after my 2nd vaccine all was fine after the first vaccine. After the 2nd vaccine l missed a full cycle, started my period the next month like l would have if l didn't miss a cycle. This period was horrendous, full of clots and lasted weeks-l don't know how l managed to get through it. I spoke to the GP who said menstrual cycle changes have been reported by women post vaccine. I am now dreading this months period 😔
