Hi
I’m four weeks post lap, where the surgeon found and removed stage 4 rectovaginal endometriosis. There was a slight complication in that they damaged my bowel - but a stitch was put in and they were confident this was ok.
I had two nights in hospital before being sent home which I needed - I was in a lot of pain.
I took 2 weeks off work and have taken it easy up until this last weekend where I started to do more, including trying some exercise. I didn’t over do it as I could feel I was sore. I’ve been sore ever since the surgery though.
My scars have healed nicely, I had a period quite soon after surgery and my main symptom of bad diarrhoea and horrific pains whilst going to the toilet was gone, but the period was very painful.
I’m due on again later this week and am feeling really sore, more sore than I have been. I used to suffer with trapped wind as part of my symptoms which has got really bad today as well as feeling so so tender all across my belly.
Does this sound normal?! My consultant keeps moving my appt back so I don’t have a check up until end of July (10 weeks post op). I’m getting so fed up with being in pain and so want to get back to exercise. I’m confused if I’ve overdone it or if this is period related - I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same. Most people I know felt better by now.
Thank you
