I hope someone can put my mind at ease. I’ve been to hell and back recently. Stupidly waited 7 years on the NHS Wales waiting list for laproscopy. I kept getting told it was routine and I was next on the list. After recently going in and out of A and E for 4 months, loosing my job and being in the worst pain of my life I ended up having to take a loan pay privately.
I had stage 5 endometriosis, if I left it any longer I would needed some of bowl removed from the lesions. Endometriosis and adhesions where everywhere and my organs stuck to pelvic cavity wall.
I am now nearly 10 weeks post operation. I still have terrible bloating which puts pressure on my diagram and lungs. It means I still can’t exercise.I also have this movement on my lower right side where my organ starts moving and protruding out (on and off)
Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal?
Thanks in advance for reading ❤️

Hello! I’m so sorry you’ve gone through the mill! Welsh NHS seems much longer than NHS in England! I live on the border but asked to be seen through England as I work in the NHS in England I knew the system better (to chase things etc). I’m not sure what stage endo I have but mine was also attached to my bowel on both sides and behind my womb. I had the surgery in Jan 2023 and still had bloating 5 months down the line unfortunately, I did see a gynaecologist and they said it can happen depending on how long your body takes to recover but now 7-8 months it’s all healed. I think it’s a long process but they don’t make it out to be! And the recovery will probably depend on your body and what you’ve had done. Maybe ask your gynaecologist to see what they say! Xx
Thanks so much for this reply, I’ve been panicking thinking there was something wrong with me. I’m so happy you don’t have to deal with Welsh NHS. Best wishes and Thankyou xx
I had mine 9th Jan and if I'm honest didn't feel back to normal until early May. Don't get me wrong felt better every day but didn't feel like i was back to myself until then.
