First period post laparoscopy

As the title suggests...

Any experience from those who had their first period post laparoscopy? Mine is due in the next few days and dreading it.. Should I expect it to hurt more than usual or should I feel the relief already?

I had my lap 2 weeks ago and my period a week ago and it was heavy and painful but all of my specific endo issues were gone - so it was amazing!

I dont have an answer for this unfortunately... but I’m in the same boat at you. My period is due in a few days and I’m curious to see how it will be! I hope yours isn’t too painful and that you get some sort fo relief! X

Hey, hope you are as well as can be x My first few after surgery were a bit rough but I'd been warned by fellow Endo Warriors so I planned for it, got through them and then was much much better by my 3rd post op xx

My first post lap period was very unpleasant, painful and very heavy. I also felt very low mood and extremely exhausted. My consultant said to write off the first one as it’s not a reflection on how well the surgery went - he said it can take 6 cycles (6months eeep!) for periods to completely settle for some people. However I don’t know what a normal period is even like haha. I would suggest using pads too as inside is very sensitive! Be kind to yourself and lots of baths
