I had my laparoscopy for endometriosis on the 18th of April and my period has been so bad. First time post surgery lasted 16 days and now (2nd period post lap) I’m on day 23 and still going.
Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it last? I’m really tired and feel like laparoscopy hasn’t helped much ☹️

I had my laparoscopy end of February, my first one lasted 16 days too with the next one 2 weeks after and spotting in between! Now I only had spotting for the third month so hopefully it gets better for you! It should settle soon 🤞🏼
I had my laparoscopy at the end of February. I had bleeding for a month the first time. 2nd one was for 6 days, but very painful. I’m due my 3rd period in about a week. I think it’s just your body’s reaction to the surgery. I was feeling worried at the time, but I think there is lots of healing to be done. I keep in touch with my gp & keep a diary of my symptoms. Your cycles can take months to get back to normal. Some people have pain for a year. Particular with endometriosis. It can take up to a year to see improvements with some people. Hope things improve.
