I had a Laparoscopy on the 10th April and was diagnosed with Stage 3 endometriosis in many places. I had it removed via excision/diathermy and am now recovering well.
One piece of advice I must have missed on discharge is when to completely remove the dressings covering the incisions. I've been changing them every 3-4 days, as per their advice but don't remember a timeline for completely removing them.
Does anyone have any recommendations? At the moment the incisions are fine, no infection etc so just wondering when I might be able to let some air into them?

Hey,I got surgery on Wednesday (at the Liverpool Women Hospital) and was told to remove the dressing after two days in the shower. I managed this yesterday. I was not told to change the dressing just to remove it. I had stage 3 endometriosis and got 4 wounds. I’d be curious to hear any other testimony on this 😊
Hi, I had a laparoscopy on 13 April in Liverpool women’s hospital. I was told I have endometriosis but not told what stage. They didn’t remove any of it unfortunately. The nurse advise me to take the two dressings I had off after 48 hours. My wounds are both fine. It might be worth to ring the department or your doctor to double check when you can take them off. Hope you are healing well xx
