Date for Lap!!

I finally got my date for Lap! I’ll be having it on the 14th, so i was wondering if you guys had any tips for preparations i should make? at home or to bring to the hospital?

and any tips for healing if you have any. thank you !!

i should also mention they’ll be fitting me with the mirena coil during surgery

Hi, don't have too much advice I'm afraid as I'm still waiting for mine. But one of my friends just had hers. She advised me to prepare for post-surgery as much as possible (ginger tea, peppermint, painkillers) as it can be sore/painful/bloated afterwards - make sure you have lots of pillows ready as well to prop yourself up with at night x

Hi, I had my latest lap on the 1st. I would recommend taking a dressing gown and slippers, also pyjamas/nightie and some toiletries just in case you stay overnight. Take a hoodie or something warm too inc socks as sometimes you can feel quite cold after a GA. Definitely take something to do whilst waiting, so iPad, magazine, book and charger for your phone. Take snacks as when you wake up you’ll likely be hungry. Also when you get home make sure you’ve got peppermint tea and a hot water bottle as both will help with the trapped gas.
