Surgery Waiting Time?

Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask how long people have waited for surgery when being put on the waiting list? I'm waiting for a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and got put on the waiting list in October. I know it may take a little longer due to everything going on at the moment but any info would be helpful

Hi I waited 12 months and that was before Covid happened, I guess it spends on what health board though and if you are out down as routine or urgent for your surgery x

I have been down as routine from august 2018. Had it cancelled by the hospital sept 2019 and heard nothing since I am based in n.i

I was 7months with Scottish health board, they bypassed there waiting times so sent me private, hopefully u don't wait 2 long x

Hi, did you get scheduled for surgery via GP referral to consultant ....and then a general gynae consultant is actually doing the surgery? I am battling post hysterectomy with consultant as I have previously been diagnosed with Endo but now they’re saying they can’t do anything else for pelvic pain and it’s Gastro related.....been private consultant saying the same and to try different HRT, whereas physio has told me it might be adhesions and haemotoma......Best wishes to you xx

Hi, so I got referred by my GP at the end of 2019, had an appointment in Feb 2020 and then they wanted to do a follow up appointment after that which due to Covid happened in Oct 2020 over the phone, and because nothing has changed the gynae said he was putting me on the waiting list for surgery which I'm guessing will be with the gynae specialist who I had before for my hysteroscopy. Oh really, that's so annoying, hopefully you'll get some answers! Thank you xx

I think they're a gynae specialist but work with Endo xx
