Zoladex - any advice on supplements?

Hi everyone - as a little background, I had surgery 4 months ago to drain what turned out to be two very large endometrioma on one ovary. I was then put on Zoladex, intended to be for 3 months until surgery for a cystectomy and removal of the rest of the endo - the approach is being taken to help protect ovarian reserve. But now, because of Covid, surgery is delayed. I'm not on any addback HRT. I've been taking a few supplements this month to try and help mitigate the horrid side effects of the Zoladex, and wondered if anyone has any tips?

Hi I’m on zoladex just had my 5th injection but I was given HRT from the off when I started these, have they offered it you?

🤞 surgery won’t be too long have you asked? I’m waiting for a hysterectomy so hoping it won’t be too much longer x

Hiya, thanks for replying! They said HRT is only for if I'm on Zoladex for longer than six months as it can cause endometrial hyperplasia (this is according to my GP), so I'm trying to hold off as long as I can! How are you finding the Zoladex/HRT?

No problem maybe I was put on it as I’m due to have a hysterectomy I was under the impression everyone went on HRT when on these injections.

Do you have side effects then?

At first I had awful headaches,hot flushes now the hot flushes are not too bad mainly get these at night, high blood pressure has improved but on tablets and headaches not as bad as they were. Everyone is different on these injections from what I’ve read on here.

Not me. No HRT for me. I have been told it's a no no as it will reactivate endo... getting 6th month zoladex tomorrow and news on surgery. I've just been dealing with the pause all rough and ready type. Always rough and never ready... especially the hot flushes! And the tears. Seeing psychologist has helped come to terms with my condition somewhat. Somewhat. Sometimes. Quite anxious today mind you... tomorrow being verdict day. Hugs and sunshine xx

Hi I started HRT two weeks after 1st injection and continued through. It was only ever a course of six. There seem to be differing opinions, but is only licensed for endo for six.It’s worth checking with consultant or GP.
