Hi guys,
I was put on the waiting list for a laparoscopy in April having had really bad period pains since I was 14 (now nearly 21) my Mum also had endometriosis and had a hysterectomy. I was wondering if anyone in Scotland is in a similar situation as I’ve tried contacting the secretaries but they say they can’t disclose how long it’ll be!
Any help would be very appreciated!!
Where in Scotland are you? I recently had mine at Edinburgh, was on the waiting list a year and two days, it would have been about 6 months less if it wasn't for Covid. Might be a shorter wait at other hospitals though. Hope this helps x

I've been on the waitlist since may, spoke to the GP and they didn't know how long it would be because it's a different wait list etc.
Bit annoying!
Before my last op last year I had to wait over 6 months as well (and that was before the covid issues!)
Hopefully you won't be waiting too much longer.
Hi - I was meant to have mine in April but cancelled 3 days before it was due because of Covid- having same issue with waiting list every time I ring up they tell me something different - I feel your pain!! You are not alone xx

There is hope - got letter last weekend and now have date in just over a weeks time - need to have Covid test as part of pre op and then op 3 days later! I had started to give up hope so a nice surprise - although now terrified as it is real again. So that was a 6 month wait from the date - hopefully you will get something soon x
That’s great - hope all goes well for you! I’ve heard in Glasgow that they are cancelling ops at the minute but hopefully it won’t be too long!!
