Irregular heavy periods after lap?

Has anyone else had problems with their periods after excision surgery?

I had my op back in January and ever since I’ve had really heavy long periods even the pill hasn’t helped make them any lighter! Pre surgery I had pretty light and short periods especially when I was on the pill! I know the first one after lap is usually pretty bad but I didn’t expect them to stay that way!

Hiya, I remember that my first excision didn’t make a huge difference for long. I’d be inclined to go back to the gynaecologist x

Hey, Thank you for your reply! I’m so sorry that it didn’t help you first time! My periods pre lap were pretty light and short so it’s actually made them worse! I wasn’t sure if it was normal or not for them to get worse for so long after! I’ve been trying to get the doctors to refer me back but they don’t seem to want to!x

Maybe try a different GP at your surgery? Mine was rubbish at doing referrals, but you might have better luck with a different one x
