For the past few months I notice that I have cramps from day 9 onwards of my cycle till day 14 till I ovulate. Its lower abdominal cramps similar to periods. Its bad to the point i have to take painkillers. Even my period cramps are not this bad. Just wondering if anyone else have this prob? I have a history of endo which was cleared through lap and adenomyosis. Thanks for your input.

Hi, just wondering how old you are, as this can happen as we approach menopause. I didn’t used to have ovulation pain but now I’m perimenopausal I get ovulation pains and intermittent cramps between ovulation and period. I have pcos and endo. Tried mefenamic acid and tranexamic acid but the only painkillers that work for me are anadin extra weirdly!
Ovulation pain can be really normal I had it a lot and got pregnant the first month so it doesn’t always been you won’t be able to conceive. Good luck, hope it all goes well! X
I’m experiencing the same thing. I have history of endo and had lap around 12 years ago and put on the pill at the same time, I was on the pill for around 14 years with no sign of endo symptoms.
I recently came off the pill for health reasons in June last year, then in November I started getting strange symptoms day or 2 after my period until after ovulation.
Each month since November the pains, cramps, bloating and digestive issues have gotten significantly worse. I’ve recently been informed endo is back again and reviewing my treatment options.
Hello,I had strong cramps during ovulation for a couple of months after which I was diagnosed with endo and billateral chocolate cysts. They were 9cm and 7cm in diameter. In my case it seems they had grown quickly (in 2-4 cycles),so I suggest you have a scan soon.I hope is not that though! All the best ttc💛
