Hey 👋🏻

Does anyone else have severe sickness and shakiness day or two before period??

Ii come on my period 3am last night, my cramps woke me ii felt so sick and shakey could barely breathe from the pain being so bad, it’s like this every time before my period. Iv been on coil for 4 or so months now. And drs today at hospital give me a pill to take for 3 weeks and stop for one week to take for the next 3 months till the coil should eventually be at its best. So sick of Periods ☹️ Anyone have any tips for when a period is due to stop this happening?

Many thanks

Xx

Aww noo :(

It may help: I've been having aromatherapy oils massage which I feel really helps a few days to the evening before my period, it helps calm my body and the oils are chosen with my pain in mind, so specific to me. I love the 121 attention too! She combines that with a specifically dosed oil rub with again a combination of oils suited to my needs. I use this on my abdomen up to 4 times a day five days before my period and during it. It doesn't completely get rid of the pain but it definately eases it. She alters it slightly every few months as the body can get use to certain oils. It can be used with other pain medication and hot water bottles but wait about 30 mins for the oils to absorb first.

I would recommend the above! My aromatherapy massage lady is also a nurse so she knows a lot about endo and the things we go through. Mine is tailored towards stress - I find that the worry of my impending period plus PMS mood swings actually makes it all so much worse so she's given me a little sniff stick - (like an olbas stick for colds) which I can use anytime I need to relax the week before my periods. I have it with me all the time.

I'm looking into accupuncture as i've heard some women say it really helps.

I know some people say there's no evidence for alternative therapies, however I'd rather try options that have been about for centuries and see if they could help than just ignore them completely x

I will look into it Thank you so much for taken the time to reply.

Ii am thinking or cleaning my diet completely to see if that helps at all.

My abdomen just feels like it’s on fire 🔥

Periods are the worst.

I had exactly this which is what led me to my diagnosis!

Mine was always on the day of my period but I would be sick for 8-10 hours straight and it was the only relief from severe stomach pains! Unfortunately as the pain was most severe in my stomach the doctors made me see specialists for that first so it took 8 years because of that!

I was on various contraception pills at the time and each one I tried seem to make it worse! Eventually I came off every hormone and luckily that seemed to do it! I’ll have the odd month now but literally once or twice a year (fingers crossed)! When I was having the sickness I found a few times eating something really stodgy and fatty might stop it if I caught it before! I always had pain around 1-2 hours before it started! It might sounds silly but I just think it lined my stomach so eased the pain and therefore stopped the sickness! I managed to get some anti sickness tablets from the doctors the dissolve on your gym, so you can’t throw them back up! They did help but only after I had been sick already for quite awhile!

Really hope you get sorted, for sure have a think about when it started as being hormone free (surprisingly) seemed to do the job! Good luck x

tbh mine seems to have got a lot worse since being on the coil. But drs are reassuring my by time ii had cool 6 months ii won’t feel like this anymore :( bless 8yrs no answers bet that was torture!!

Yeah eating something fatty or sugary helps me with the shaking, the Sickness is just awful !! Like pregnancy sickness it reminds me of.

Also makes me feel very down, go from being w happy fun person to.. i don’t wanna do anything talk to anyone and feel miserable !

Ii pray one day there is more help available!

Thanks for ur time means a lot xx
