Period after coil removal

Hi I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and I’ve just had my coil removed to try for a baby. I got my coil out about a month ago and I was due my period 2 weeks ago and it’s still not come. I did a pregnancy test last week and then again today after a week. Both were negative. Has anyone else experienced a delay in periods after removing the coil?

With copper there shouldn’t be one because there are no hormones but with merina I would imagine there could be a bit of upset because there are, albeit minimal and local application.

I had the jaydess which is the same as medina but smaller so maybe that’s why. Thank you

Hi! I'm planning to remove my Mirena coil in a couple of months to start trying to get pregnant. In your experience, how long it took to normalise your hormones after removing the Mirena coil. I'm concern of waiting to long to get pregnant without having the Mirena and letting my endometriosis coming back. Please if you can share any advice it will be very helpful.

yes I did !!! When I had my last mirena removed with which I still had pretty heavy and regular periods. I had a 4 month delay in my periods after it was taken out to the point I thought I might have suddenly become menopausal. My periods eventually settled into a loosely regular pattern again.

It’s so individual I think but don’t worry yet.
