Tens machine

Does anybody have a tens machine and do they find it helps? I’m a bit nervous that it will hurt (I say hurt even though I get painful cramps every day and have haemorrhagic cysts and surgery all the time 😂😂)

Thanks!

Hi,

They are fab!! Really recommend them. Mine has different settings and modes which is good to have a play around with and it wasn’t expensive either. I usually use mine whilst laid in bed watching TV. It definitely helps and isn’t painful at all ( like you say what can be more painful than this anyway ).

X

Thank you for your reply! Do you mind telling me what brand you have? (If that is allowed?) I need to be brave and give it a go rather than keep suffering 😊

It’s called ‘Med fit tens’ and is the Tens company brand. It is a white machine , bought it from Amazon for less than £20 👍🏻 let us know how you get on x

Ooo thank you, I’ll try this one! I tried a normal tens machine but found it too painful. Hopefully this one is a little gentler

Hello yes I would recommend. I use mine for 30 minutes at a time and it has 20 different settings. don’t know if I am allowed to say which one I have on here?

I find it relaxing and after a while it helps with the pain :) it depends on the severity of my pain on that specific day though! If it’s labour pains it doesn’t help xx

I don’t know if I am allowed to say but here you go, if I get into trouble oh well 😜it’s Lloyd’s chemist £20 one and it comes with 4 pads, you can replace the pads for £5.99 when they loose their stickiness. Hope it works for you xx

Hello,

I’ve found a tens machine to be really really helpful. For me it helps at lot for lower back, hip and pelvic pain. It’s not necessarily painful and I often find that it really helps to target the spots/ areas of pain, instead of painkillers which make me overall woozy but never seem to relive the pain at its origins.

I have a small one which is great for using when out and about and it’s discreet under clothing. I have various settings and for something so small it’s a great go-to in the middle of the night when cramping and pain often for me becomes worse and unbearable.

It’s called Paingone Easy.

Take care of yourself. Kind regards Emma

Oh that’s so good to hear. Painkillers make me feel so yuck. Thank you so much! Forgot I live in Australia but I’ll see if they’re online. Thanks again. Goodluck with your pain!
