4 Days Post Op

Hi all, I posted previously about possible endo! Got rushed for emergency surgery ( laparotomy ) on Friday night as a result of finding a 16cm cyst on my right ovary which was wrapped around and cutting off the blood supply, the surgeon managed to save some of my ovary amazingly! I am struggling emotionally at the moment as I am in a lot of pain and trying to recover I came out of hospital today, I haven’t opened my bowels still but I am taking laxatives. I would say I am struggling more mentally as they have sent my cyst off to be tested. They originally thought it was a dermoid but after seeing it they are not too sure the surgeon said it had pocket holes full of gunk and muck 🤮🤮 sorry for the info. Thank you

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. all my support and healthy vibes. I'm glad he was able to keep the ovary, no all doctors would have done it. maybe it's just an infection that went up the uterus and to the ovaries. it happened to my sister two months ago and she lost one tube and one ovary, she had a big cyst of some sort of pus, it was just that, an infection, nothing malignant. hugs
