I'm waiting on a date for a laparoscopy, after suffering with symptoms of endometriosis for years. However I have some symptoms I haven't heard other people talking about! So, I just wondered if anyone suffers like I do?
Firstly, the worst of my pain seems to be mid cycle. I have long cycles (around 36-45 days). It starts around 10 days after my period ends with bloating, cramping, stabbing pains in my side and just gets worse as the month goes on. I get swelling of the lower abdomen, consultation, urinary retention (a weak stream of urination and inability to empty my bladder - I have had bladder infection and urinary tract infection ruled out), I also get this numb and tingly pain in my lower abdomen and into my groin, and have just started getting sharp pains in my side when I pass stool.
My periods are painful and my last one was absolute agony, but the middle of my cycle seems to be the worst time.
I also get the fatigue and painful sex (especially with any from behind sex positions such as doggy...too TMI?).
I have a PCOS but I've been told this wouldn't cause all these symptoms, hence awaiting a laparoscopy.
If anyone has any advice or similar stories, I'd love to hear.
Thanks!
