Hi! So basically im 21, at uni and had a laparoscopic procedure in manchester, was diagnosed with stage 4 endo, wide spread and bowel adhesions connected to my abdominal wall. During surgery scar tissue was created to remove the connect but the widespread endometriosis remains. I was told i’d be better after a weeks rest and its 6 weeks on, ive heard nothing from the hospital, still in pain everyday, sick of having to rest all the time, frustrated. I went to work for the first time since my op, started to get really sharp internal pains, throbbing, stabbing across my lower stomach/uterus, and been bleeding for 3 days straight since. The doctors back at home are telling me theres nothing they can do, just have to wait till my follow up appointment which i am still waiting for. Anyone else had this problem???? I was also told 1 week healing, but then read that bowel surgery takes 1-3 months. So very concerned ive over worked myself and im not healing properly. Sick of being messed around and the hospital and doctors not dealing with me back home because im “temporary” but the pains still real.

I'm surprised that you can even function at all. You need to get to a GP and be really firm in asking for help. Try for a referral to a centre of excellence for endometriosis. With bowel involved, you need a colorectal surgeon involved in your case as well. I'm sure there must be a good place in a city.
Ordinary gynaecologist would be out of their depth.
Good luck because you have a lot to cope with. I wouldn't even think about working at present, you would be in too much pain I'm sure or else bring it on or make it worse.
I hope this helps.
I've just had a look and there is a centre of excellence at St Mary's hospital in Manchester. It has a multidisciplinary team if you have a look online.
If your GP won't help, suggest you see someone else but just stress how unwell you feel. It's a very serious illness I'm sorry to say and you should be taken very seriously and not fobbed off.
