Periods worse after prostap?

Hey

I wonder if anyone can help/ put my mind at ease - I finished 7months of Prostap injections at the end of December and 38 days later had my first period, which was HELL- incredible pain and so heavy I could barely manage it. Just finishing my second period (arrived bang on time) and it’s been just as bad- another 3 days bedridden...

Is it going to get any better? I had a lap to remove stage 4 endo, uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts In Jan 2018, and followed by a course of Prostap I thought it would have improved things somewhat?

It’s my finances 40th birthday in May - and my period is due on his birthday weekend, I was planning on taking him away but feeling like that options off the table now unless I can get things under control

I currently take codeine (60mg) plus ibuprofen and paracetamol for pain relief and live attached to a heat blanket

Any advice would be greatly welcomed

Hey Sarah,

I'm sorry no one has replied yet and I can't really help I am on my last Zoladex injection....now concerned I will have the same issue. I hope someone with some expertise/experience replies.

Gutting about your husband's 40th have you ever taken naproxen? It's a good anti inflammatory x

Yes, I’ve tried Naproxen- is ok but I do find codeine works the best (not enough) but also puts me straight to sleep ☹️

Just wish there was a fix, hate living this ‘half’ life!

Gosh I agree I would think the same as you. I’ve been on zoladex over a year & they run out next week! I’m scared and now reading your post I’m worried! My gp said to go back to him if any issues as he will give me something! I would seek advice as you can’t carry on like that! Also maybe go on the pill or something so you can still go away!! Worth asking
