Hello, I am in a similar position as you, but I had monthly injections for 6 months, last one was in August and I still haven't had a period. I have read it can take months for some women to start again but some women start straight away. I'm sorry I can't be of any help bit you are not alone! Xx

The strange thing is I had periods all through having the injections except the last one, but they were so light and pain free, it's been heaven! I completely understand where you're coming from, I too am dreading them returning because I don't want the pain back! Thank you, am currently on the waiting list for second lap. Fingers crossed for you too! Take care xx

Awh no waay I had a month long period on the first one but then nothing second one omg I was completely ill and still getting pain my first lap they didn't see anything and said go back to your gp a year later said stuff it and went private with sancta maria as my Gyno I can swap nhs and private and he will still see me as he is expensive per appointment so I'm like a ginuepig testing all hormone treatment to see if its endemetriosis or andemetriosos but honestly untill my dad showed me this website I felt so alone it's so hard. To go through this and battle work and lost previous jobs over this I'm so glad my dad showed me this website its gutting to see how many people go through this Im just happy Im not the only one obviously wouldn't wish tjis on anyone... Fingers crossed your lap goes well and find a treatment that will help you sending my love x

Hi, do you mind me asking what side effects you experienced please?

Hey yeah ofcourse.. Obviously hot flushes with the manapause which was just copable.

But I experienced extreme dizzy ness

Kept seeing black spots in my eye sight lots of little black dots

Fainting spells

Extreme fatigue

Back and shoulders were constantly killing me

Leg weakness

Bone weakness

Couldn't eat extreme nausea

After seeing my Gyno and explaining all my symptoms I was getting all commen and uncomment side affects.. If your getting any side affects make apppintment straight away to get into a oestrogen gel to boost your oestrogen it means it's dropped to low and causing other issues

Because my oestrogen is to low caused me to have a misscaraige at 7 weeks.

It affects everything. Xx

It's taken me nearly 12 months to realise and make the connection that it's affecting my mental health, 'usual' antidepressants are affecting me and it feels like my brain just hurts. I've a gyne app in a couple of weeks xx

Thank you so much, it has affected me to the point that I had a breakdown in April but I thought it was just the circumstances I was in. Looking back it all fits as together that it's the injection. It feels great to have ppl listen and not think it's all in my head xx

Honestly it's not in your head I'm 24 and been battling doctors since I was 14 putting me on different contraception making it worse no one would listen untill this year when I went private just remember your not alone and you are more than welcome. To private message me any time because what we go through is not easy.. After many breakdowns I finally don't feel alone that's what we're here for it's so good to feel connected to and listened to I'm here for you gal xxxx
