Lap stitches

Hi everyone, anxiety through the roof here! 9 days post lap & im worried about my stitches. One is very tight & red and the other in my navel just doesn’t look right to me? I also get a shooting pain in my navel when peeing! Any one had anything similar? Any advice would be great x

I’m having pain when using the loo too: my doctor said that was normal. If I was you, I’d call the GP & ask for a practice nurse to do a wound check. They’ll be able to tell you if it’s healing normally & will put your mind at rest x

Yeah think I will do, I wish they would give an info booklet or some sort of info on discharge I didn’t get anything. They could really put peoples minds at rest if they did that! Thank you for replying x

Hey my stitches felt right and red but I think that’s maybe normal and part of the healing process. My belly button got infected though, red, sore, oozing stuff out of it and I got antibiotics. If you are concerned can you go to your GP / nurse? X
