I was diagnosed with endometriosis on friday (yet to have a laproscopy but due to start zoladex treatment soon) does anyone else experience extreme fatigue?? I can have 11 hours sleep and still feel tired 😴😴 just wondering if this is just me or is it a common symptom

Extreme fatigue
If you put it into the search on here you'll find lots of posts on it. Chronic fatigue is very common sadly.
Hey,
Yep its common!! I like you can sleep for flipping ages and wake up feeling like i havn't at all. Well i was sleeping anyway, now i can only manage 2 hours at a time at night if that, before waking up with night sweats go back to sleep, bang up again within an hour. Its a shitty condition im afraid!!!!
Thank you for replying! It certainly is, i feel exhaused 99% of the time but try to push through it which no doubt makes it worse. have you ever experienced pain in your legs also?
YYYEESSS!!! All the time. Especially if I’m having a bad pain day, my body just is way too busy trying to deal with what I’ve got going on that I’m so exhausted all the time!
Zoladex helped me so much with that. I slept better, no pain so my body could just be “normal”
Good luck
I am sleeping more than 13 hrs a day and still feel fatigue, feeling so helpless, can't find any solution ..
Yes that's probably the one symptom I struggle with the most. I gave up gluten and this helped.alot with the fatigue. I also get leg pain, like a dull ache, I bought a portable tens machine and it really helps manage that symptom. Google REVITIVE Pain Reliever. Zolodex does give you some relief too.
Hi there.
Although I'm sorry you've got this horrible disease I'm glad for you that you've got a diagnosis, I'm sure not unlike the rest of us you've probably been suffering for a long time.
Yes I suffer with extreme fatigue, like the others said it seems very common. I think there are a lot of contributing factors to it: body dealing with constant pain; body constantly trying to heal internal lesions; inactivity due to pain; low mood and restless sleep due to pain.
I tried zoladex monthly injections for 3 months but unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with them, a lot of side effects and I still experienced a cycle every month so they weren't working. I hope you have a more positive experience, everyone is different.
I experience pain in the legs, mainly the tops of my thighs and my groin. Again I think it's not uncommon and possibly due to referred nerve pain.
My second laparoscopy is in 5 weeks so I'm just counting down the days in the hope it gives me even temporary relief.
Although I can't offer much advice in how to help your physical suffering I hope that knowing that you're not alone is some comfort and know you can write on here anytime and I'm sure many of these lovely ladies will help answer your questions and ease your worry.
Keep us all posted and best of luck with your treatment xxx
Thank you so much for your reply. I am awaiting the zoladex injections, i have 12 weeks to wait due to just having the progesterone injection 🙄 dont think they can be given today. As for pain, i get it in my thighs, knees and groin as well so glad im not the only one, wouls that just be abdominal pain moving and not actually endometriosis tissue spreading?
I really hope zoladex works because i dont know how much longer i can deal with this pain 😭
YES! Oh my god I think I slept more than I was awake this weekend (literally had 11 hours on Saturday night and then had a nap on Sunday). Now it's Monday morning and I can barely keep my eyes open! Due my first laproscopy in a couple of weeks, please tell me it helps?!
I am exactly the same I've slept for 15 hours solid because of it. I find the fatigue is alot worse around my period. My Dr told me it's probably because of the pain. I don't have a dyagnosis but I suffer with very similar symptoms.
I find diet can help a little bit with this I've gone plant based and making sure I eat lot's of fresh fruit and veggies everyday to try and bust the subsystem. Hope you're treatment helps! X
I have chronic fatigue too and it’s horrible I know exactly what you’re going through.
It’s terrible and it can make you feel really down.
Try talking to a doctor about what they can do to help ??
