Can anyone offer any Advice on what to do, my fatigue is so bad today I can't even walk down the stairs? I don't think I have ever been this bad!?
Extreme fatigue!!!: Can anyone offer any... - Endometriosis UK
Extreme fatigue!!!
It might be worth getting your b12 levels checked hunni as that can sometimes be an issue with endo good luck xx
I was the same and although they had checked my iron levels in my blood, a new dr to my surgery pointed out that my Feritinstores needed checking also, she took my blood, the very next day I was on Iron, it's taken 4 months to start to feel human again, but I'm so much better now. When my fatigue was at its worst I had to take a month of work! Go to your gp and ask them to check your feritin stores, hope you are feeling better soon x
Thats interesting, thanks for this info - I had never heard of Feritin before!
Thank you, not heard of that one before, I'll check it out much appreciated ♥️⭐️
Neither had I, I just assumed when they were checking my bloods and my iron levels were OK, that was it, apparently they should also be checking your Feritin levels, Thankfully the new Gp checked this out for me.
I have a b12 deficiency anyway that I'm already being treated for 😔 Xx
Oh you mean Vitamin B12? Then endo nay not be the cause of your problem. I advice you take your stoolsample to the Lab for a test may be it Diphyllobothriasis.
Lol! Random suggestion
Sorry you are feeling so knackered Emmiee, it really is the worst.
I take Berrocca (the Guarana one) & usually drink this during team meetings while everyone else is on coffee as I feel I would literally fall asleep!
I also take a good womens Multi Vit with B vits & love Purdeys drink - spring water multi vit/botanical natural drink. (I know I have mentioned this before on here but Im not sponsored by them or anything - just love it!)
All the best mate

B12 i think.i.m being checked for it to.xx
I think endo just makes you extremely tired. I live with other conditions but after many years I could just about track what days I won't want to move and be mentally foggy by looking at my pill cycles. I still seem to forget how bad it is and wonder if its something else. Its about a third of the time for me. I do try and let my body rest more at these times and life has to be re arranged at times.
There is some interesting reading for those living with chronic disease if you google 'spoonies' . It can be really hard explaining you must measure out your energy to others (friends, family, work if you can't help it) on some days or always and its nice to know your not the only one. Thanks for posting , I'm having a fatigue day today too.
Hi Emmiee,
Sorry you are feeling so pants, it's awful when you feel like that and it's so easy for us to just put it down to our endo, i know I did. I had 2 laps back in 2014 and i had put my excessive exhaustion down to those and the endo but when it wasn't getting any better i went to the doctors. They did blood tests and found that my Thyroid was under active and my B12 was low - and i required 6 injections over the space of 2 weeks! Both these things cause fatigue, depression - B12 deficiency can even cause nerve damage. Anyway after getting my results I started doing some research about these conditions and their connection to endo and it would seem that if you have endo it is more likely for you to suffer with these other conditions. I never realised how important a vitamin could be but without B12 you can actually die. I now have a maintenance B12 injection every 12 weeks but there are many that argue that that isn't frequent enough.
It is worth going to your doctors and asking for your ferritin, folate, B12 and Thyroid levels to be checked. Don't just put everything down to your endo.
Folate, is folic acid and without it your body cannot process B12 so it's no good having high levels of B12 but not much folate.
Also when you get your results get a print out of them, unfortunately doctors have to know about alot of different things so this means they don't always know enough about what you need them too. They can say your results are normal just because they fall within a certain range but B12 isn't as simple as that and neither is your thyroid.
When you get your results back and if your doctor says you are fine there is a B12 and a Thyroid group on here that can help you, or you can message me. Or just ask on this forum I am sure there are fellow sufferers on here.
