Hysterectomy / Gallbladder

Hi everyone, so I am seeing my gynae soon for a review, I have been on the waiting list for a hysterectomy, removal of both ovaries and excision. I am having daily bleeding, had TCRE and removal of polyps but didn't help. Large chocolate cysts on both ovaries and extensive endo/adhesions everywhere, bowel, bladder etc all affected.

I'm very daunted by the surgery ahead but can't go on the way I am so hoping it will help. Any advice or tips on what I should be asking my gynae at the appointment? I'm most anxious about the risk of having a stoma.

I've also been having upper right side/rib pain the last few months after suffering with bad acid/indigestion for over a year now, so far all tests have been clear, but the severe pain and symptoms are all sounding like gallbladder issue. Is this somehow linked to endo and oestrogen? Anyone any experience of this? I have a gastro review soon too so trying to prepare for

this also.

Appreciate any advice or reassurance! Thank you x

Hi Gallbladder problems and Endo seem to go hand in hand from what iv seen through the various Endo support groups. I suffered for two years with Gallbladder pain and nothing was showing up in tests until finally the Surgeon ordered a special scan by where a dye solution is injected into your system you then eat a piece of chocolate and as your digestion is breaking it down they take scan pictures of your gallbladder. Turned out I had a non functioning gallbladder hence the reasons stones were not showing up. Personally Gallbladder pain is very different to Endo pain. As bad as Endo pain is Gallbladder pain is off the rickter scale....more like early Labour pains!!

Thanks! The pain from my gallbladder area is unreal!! I have had an ultrasound, MRI, camera test, bloods and all clear so far. I'm going to mention to my gastro and gynae about what you have said and see if they will consider it. I am eating as plain as possible but dying for some pizza LOL x

That definitely sounds like Gallbladder problem. I was almost anorexic from the pain. I found a plain diet was the only way I could manage. I was 28 and was told I didn't fit into the category of Fair Fat and 40!! Imagine like no one else gets Gallbladder problems!! It's a Non Functioning Gallbladder. Nothing shows up only this scan text...I'm so sorry I don't know the name of it. I had yo fight hard with the Drs as they kept referring the pain to my Endo which it wasn't. I wish you the very best of luck.....it's the most horrendous pain, my heart goes out to you xx

Thanks x I do feel like he doesn't believe me about the pain as everything has been clear. I am seeing him again in a few weeks so will push him for more tests or just to take it out LOL. Keep everything crossed! x
