Were you sore down below after? Any other symptoms after the surgery?
I am getting the hysteroscopy biopsy done when under for my laparoscopy due to the fact that it was far too painful to have one done at my gynae appointment.
I even find getting a smear test done extremely painful.

I've never had one done while awake, I don't think I'd want to; the pain and prodding
Don't worry about what to wear for your op; they give you the option of paper underwear or none; I chose none, they of course give you the gown. I thought "well they're going to need to access there anyway so it's easier to just be free". I came out with an old fashioned pad down there, with my thighs holding it on. I presume the nurses put on after the op. I took pads just incase so put mine and knickers on after I'd been for a wee, (about 3 hours later) - pads are because the uterus doesn't like being poked so sometimes you get spotting afterwards. There's also a bit of spotting from the hysteroscopy.
For the hysteroscopy, you're under anyway so they put a camera in your vagina and up through your cervix into your uterus while looking at the images and taking samples of anything odd. My specialist also did a visual and a feel of down there to make sure everything's also fine. It does feel a little painful after but just a bit stretched and bruised, not really sore. To be honest I didn't noticed that as the pain from the lap was much more - that's an achey, sore, swollen abdomen and incision sites.
