Hi all
I had a laparoscopy in November and had a cyst removed on my right side. I was diagnosed with stage 2 Endo.
From researching, I am under the impression that Endo will come back.
Has anyone had a successful operation and it has not returned?

Hi, I hope you are ok. Im afraid endometriosis never goes away 😕😕. Even though some symptoms can be treated through surgery or/and medication endo is not curable. I had a full hysterectomy two years ago and I was ok for about 6 months, then I started to get severe pain again and it's been like that since, plus other symptoms thrown in 😑😑. But it's different for everyone who has endo. 💛💛x
I had a laparoscopy literally 4 weeks after I was diagnosed and i had a marina coil placed in. Only last year in October I had it removed as complications were causing me agony and I couldn't bare not finding out what it was so I tried many ways to figuring it out... eventually it got taken out everything was great up until December where everything dropped on me and it hit me bad. The pain is 10000% worse than before I was even operated on. Some people are different as they say and most of the time it doesn't return but I can honestly say don't believe it. Your body can tell if something is happening so trust yourself and speak on it!
I had a laparoscopic excision in June 2015, and another in June 2019.
In 2015, I got Mirena coil one month after surgery. Within six months the pains had returned in the same places, although not as severe. The coil worked well for one year, and then I started bleeding heavily, nonstop for 5 weeks, and had it removed. Since then I started yoga, organic hormone free dairy, less to no soy products, and a green cruciferous veg daily, daily Vit D and magnesium supplements, less plastic food and drink containers. I use heat and ibuprofen for pain when it’s flaring around my cycle. I added vitex supplements for six months in attempt to even out my progesterone:estrogen ratio.
In 2019 lap the endometriosis wasn’t too much, and my pain wasn’t as bad as before either, but IBS was severe during flare ups. Scar tissue was the culprit the second time- my left ovary and some of my bowels were “glued” to my abdominal wall with adhesions. There was some endo in my left wall as well. These were deeply excised and adhesions freed up, and I’m still good. No return pain as in 2015.
I have found that I can lessen my symptoms with a good deep excision and lifestyle changes. That being said, I think the lifestyle changes have the biggest impact for me- yoga, diet, water.
