Hey! So im 22, and have been struggling with severe hip, back and abdomen pain constantly since about 17. From here I think im actually one of the lucky ones as most people are alot older by the time someone actually listens to them!
So basically, my pain is so severe that ive had to be off work a few times over the last three years. I also broke my jaw and was off for 2 weeks as i work in a call centre which isnt helping my case(im a tad injury prone). I am so painful in work as i feel like when im sitting, i have all this extra pressure pushing me into my chair, and it causes this intense pain in my hips, lower back and abdomen. But, my manager states that she had endo on the bowel and it 'wasnt that sore' so she assumes I shouldnt be sore either.
Ive been put forward for a laporoscopy but not really been told much about it. Im worried, as my manager isnt the fairest or most comforting manager. In fact, im worried to even tell her i need the surgery. How long has it taken you guys to recover from surgery pain? Im worried it will take me a long time as im already sore sitting all day pre-surgery never mind post-surgery. The gyno advised today in my appt that my walls were slightly thickened so he feels that some sort of corrective surgery will be required- but obviously they dont know til they are actually in there. Please help! Xo

Hey, my last one I had it took about 7 - 10 days recover, I found after the first few days the most discomfort starts to ease off but everyone is different and depends on how much or little needs doing in the surgery. heat pads / hot water bottles and a big help and moving around as much or as little as you can helps too.
I worked in a similar situation to you boss wasn't very supportive about time off or my surgery recovery time I needed, and got really worried about my job so i contacted citizens advice and they put my worries to rest and said there was nothing my work could do as I had a medical condition etc, so could always try contacting them and tell them Bout your situation and can advice you on what to do.
After my surgery my gyne told me to call the doctors and he wrote a sick note out for me for 2 weeks sent it into work then there was nothing they could really do about it, they can't take any action against you for being off sick as if they do, they will get into a lot of trouble.
Mine took about 2 weeks to get over and like u i sit alot a work( in office) when they did mine they found nothing!
Since then(and i have all same symptoms as u) they found out i had a
Trapped nerve in lumbar which was causing me all the pain... in groin, sit area, pressure in abdomen, period pain . All same symptoms as endo apparently.
I have seen osteopath and it has nigh on gone so please b aware it can bmany things that have same symptoms if it shows no endo u have other places to go with it
