What options do I have left?

So I had a laparoscopy to remove by helica stage 4 endo on my uterus, ovaries, cervix and pouch of Douglason as well as a chocolate cyst on my right ovary. At the same time they did a hysteroscopy to remove a ‘whopping’ submucosal fibroid from my uterus. This was on 31/1/18. 10 days later I ended up admitted back to hospital for 2 nights, via ambulance with uncontrollable vomiting.

After this relapse I started to recover, got back to work 4 weeks later and up until 3/4 weeks ago I was feeling much better then things started to go backwards. The pain is back to what it was before the op, the nausea is back, appetite gone again (I’ve lost 3 stone in the past 12 months).

Been to see a new specialist today who has suggested that either 1) endo was missed 2) not all of the fibroid was removed 3) more cysts 4) all of the above.

Booking me for an urgent MRI within next two weeks (last MRI showed nothing despite there being nodules in my pouch of Douglas) and have suggested Prostap 3 monthly injections. Now I tried Provera before and it made me depressed (snivelling wreck) within 8 hours of the first tablet and I am terrified Prostap will make me feel the same... any thoughts?

Thanks in advance and keep those chins up- you’re all amazing 😀

Sorry to hear what you’re going through. Like you, my mood was terrible on a progesterone only drug ( double dose Cerazette) and I understand that this is fairly common. Since Prostap ( with HRT after the first month) my symptoms are better and my mood is largely normal although I do sometimes get mood swings (irrritable) that I relate to it kicking in/wearing off. Hope it works well for you. Good luck. 🙂

Thank you, that’s really reassuring. I am wondering if I should try a different pill first, I should have mentioned we do want to try for children at some point- I just want to be well first. Thank you and good luck to you too 😘

Do you have nausea because of the pain ? Or it is not associated with pain

To be honest I think the nausea is pain related but difficult to know really isn’t it... i do know that gynae issues have a tendency to cause nausea
