Gas from Laparoscopic surgery is gone with in 24-48 hours.
Gas inside the intestines after surgery maybe due to your change of diet or narcotic pain medicine (depends on the pain relief medication you are taking) as both can cause gas build up and constipation.
psyllium husk tablets help me with constipation.
have you tried adding laxative foods to your new gluten free diet ?
Stomach is still swollen from surgery I didn’t know if this was just from the endo removal and trauma or from any gas as I feel gassy and keep farting haha
I’ve been eating most of those on my healthy eating kick I’m not constipated which is good just swollen still
I seem to remember mine lasting a long while! More than 48 hours but I don’t know if this was because I had endo removed too. I found this which may help you get rid of it:
Drink warm liquids.
Walk outside your room three to four times daily.
After meals: walk, and then sit up in a chair for 30 to 60 minutes.
Sit upright in a chair three to four times daily.
Lie on your left side rather than on your back to help move gas through your bowels.
I’ve had 3 laps (2 to remove chocolate cysts) and each time it took about 3 weeks not to feel like a tortoise on its back. However, I know someone else who bounced back after 1 week. Just listen to your body!
I had gas still after 4 weeks even... but it wasn't really in my tummy anymore, rather under my ribs and chest! I could feel it still after so many weeks and the pain was unbearable under the ribs
but yeah I think it's very possible that you still have gas and in your case it's in your tummy, which is not too bad as it should be easier for it to be released... Keep drinking peppermint tea and take peppermint oil capsules too?! They do help a lot. Keep walking around as much as you can. It takes ages to go sometimes. x
