I just wanted some advice, and wondered if anyone who’s had a laparoscopy for the treatment of endometriosis to shed some light.
I’ve had surgery to remove endometrioma cysts on left and right ovary. Upon waking up I was told that my ovaries, bowel, rectum, cervix and womb were all fused together. The surgeon managed to unstick everything else apart from my cervix and rectum as he said that was high risk. So anyway, since then, understandably I’ve been in a lot of pain. I’m 9 days post op and I’m still getting the left sided cyst type pain I was getting before the surgery. It’s almost as intense as it was before, but obviously, there’s no cyst there now. I’m thinking maybe it’s the ovary healing? How long does this process take? Will I ever be pain free? Or will this pain subside once the healing is over? I’ve decided I’m going to go on the endo diet too as days after surgery were just terrible for me, and I cannot face another prospect of having another surgery to treat this. Anything to keep the endo at bay!
Please some advice ladies ! This diagnoses is very new to me.
Thank you!

I’ve been getting a lot of tiredness too. Towards my surgery date I was taking morphine and tramadol for my pain. The NHS were taking so long with the surgery date, despite going to a and e several times in agony, I was turned away with morphine. I was looking at a 6 month wait to have surgery through the NHS, and I no longer was living a normal life. In severe pain most days, so I’ve had to spend my savings on this surgery to get it done privately. I thought I’d be painfree for a little while at least. But I’m going to let myself heal and see how I get on.
I know there’s no cure for endometriosis, but there’s treatments available that can hopefully reduce symptoms significantly and keep it away for a longer period of time. For some people it never comes back, for others, it comes back with vengencance.
I’ve heard the endo diet working for a lot of people, and I’m definitely gona try and give you ladies an update as to how I get on.
I wish you the best with your journey, and hope you manage to deal with it better too xxx
