Excessive period

So wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this. I have just started the Yasmin pill related to upcoming IVF next month.

My periods are always heavy, and I do frequently have clots with them, but they are usually coin sized. This time I am heavier than normal even for me, and it’s day 5 of bleed. And for the past 3 days I’ve been gushing, and passing larger and larger period clots; golf-ball sized or sometimes 3-4 inches long and 1-2 inches thick. Even overnight. I have a photo but don’t really want to post as it’s not pleasant but took it cos I was concerned and wanted the record.

This will be day 4 of Yasmin. My IVF clinic is not concerned because I have just started the pill, and thinks it’s just coincidence and a normal monthly deviation. Does anyone have any advice, should I be concerned?
