First period since lap

Currently having my first period (well bleed since I'm on the pill). It is beyond painful ahh. Does anyone know if this is normal? There is one positive though since my endo was removed it doesn't hurt to poop whilst on my period. The pain is different and not having the shooting pains up my bum/up my vaginally but I am in agony I have Sharpe pains/nipping pains in my womb and my period is extremely heavy with clots. Just didn't know if it was meant to be an instant fix if endo is removed.

Hello there dear frined. How are you doing lately? I hope that things are fine for you... Well as fine as they can be. I am sorry that you are going through so much pain. I wish I could do something to change stuff. Really sorry about your situation. With that aside... Have you had such problems before? Have your periods always been painful? If so than this is just normal. The pills always have such effects. However if this is the very first time this happens... I am not saying that there is something wrong but... Maybe go check with a doctor. Who knows what they might find. Hope that things are just fine love. God bless you! Please update us on what happens next.

Yeah I started my first pill induced period just before xmas, was hoping it wouldnt last the whole week, but literally xmas morning agony - it was the worst pain I've felt in a long time. I ended up being sick, bleeding very heavily, bowel movement's were just pure hell but once I was sick my only problem was the heavy bleeding and I just couldn't eat because my tummy felt so horrid. I spent xmas in bed, and haven't felt entirely right since to be honest. But the first 1-3 periods after the lap are meant to be bad as your body is adjusting to all the changes from the operation and all the poking around - I am just hoping its only the one for me xD good luck!

The first 2 or three are usually bad due to inflammation which is part of.tue body's healing process. This explains.

My second one was just as bad as my first, now I’ve read this I’m dreading the third 🤕 it’ll all be over eventually is the way you have to look at it x

Sorry :( ! My third was actually a little better though still not easy, and my 4th ok.

It’s hard to gauge when I actually have a proper period so I’m guessing half the time because I’m bleeding non-stop with very few breaks so I’m hoping my body will take mercy on me and take the constant bleeding as a 3rd and the severe bleeding and pain will fizzle out, wishful thinking at least 😂❤️

Yes, I think this is fairly common. My first three periods after my lap were horrendous. So painful, much heavier bleeding than usual, and lasted longer than usual. Since that third period post op, they’ve been back to normal though. Hang in there! It takes most women 8-12 weeks to heal properly post lap.

I'm in the same boat as you. I had to wear 2 pads last night and I'm in so much pain it's indescribable.

Hopefully we should be better after the 3rd period...I think our bodies still have a lot of healing to do.

I'm happy to hear your endo was removed and it doesn't hurt to poop! I'm feeling so down because all my symptoms pointed towards rectovaginal endo and they didn't find any?! Once again I'm feeling the shooting rectal pains during my period and going to the toilet is like pooping a knife out. At my wits end. I know this is endo I just can't believe they didn't see it. They found uterosacral endo and endo on my bladder which they removed...

Did you have a sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy and was it done at the time of the month?

Neither, I had a laparoscopy on the last day of my period.

There isn't a fix to Endo. The burning pain is Endo. At least that pressure feeling and the ability to poo has improved things at the moment. Probably they could see that Endo in that position, they can't remove it all. Even with a pelvic clearance. Mine is even on my lungs. Good luck, keep brave, I feel for you. x

This is completely normal love!!! Mine was agonising no pain killers would even help but like you said it feels different to endo pain and it will be gone! By your third period or before :) xxxxx
