Bleeding after clitoris masturbation

Hi all,

I am experiencing bleeding every time I masturbate, just clitoris rubbing. No pain follow this bleeding, just preoccupied.

I don't experience any other bleeding the rest of the time, I have tried to take a break and let whatever is heal. However, still in the same situation after a few weeks

I am currently not having intercourse, I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo and had 2 laparoscopy with successful laser surgery for endo removal which left me with big internal scars. This is just the latest of many problems as result of endo (intercourse pain, intercourse bleeding, lack of libido cause of fake menopause jab....)

Anyone else experiencing such bleeding?

thanks everyone!!

C.

No - I think that sounds quite concerning, I would go and see your GP x

went to see the GP, she suggested it may be vaginal walls thinning due to the contraceptive pill I take for 3 consecutive months (with then one week break) to keep endo under control

Basically, I improve one thing, something else breaks....

Trying to get estrogen vaginal tablets and I will try doing 2 consecutive months instead of 3 to see it things improve

thanks

Hello, I have just come across your post. I have had the same problem (mostly with deep pelvic pain following, sometimes without any pain) for many many months now. I wondered whether you ever found out the cause for this? I also take the contraceptive pill back to back, constantly since October now, and have had the mirena coil inserted in addition to this so otherwise do not bleed whatsoever. I have always wondered what on earth could cause such bleeding with no internal contact whatsoever.

Hi there!

at the time I went and visit my gyneo and I am quoting what he wrote on the letter "I have carried out a speculum examination which showed a abundant cervical lesions,

cervical ectropion"

to solve this, he applied silver nitrate to my cervix, this is a small procedure carried out by him which I understand burns those cells which are not supposed to be outside your cervix. It burned and gave me massive deep pelvic pain for 2 days.

This solved that issue of bleeding with no internal contact, however I have to admit with endo stage 4 and I have just done another laparoscopy (3 in total) bleeding is something that is part of my daily life unfortunately. It starts, it stops...no reason. Sometimes I take a pill break and have my period so the random bleeding stops as well, so I guess it is due to hormones... but I have done smears, scans... and I don't have a particular reason for the bleeding so it may be a mix of endo, hormones, pill, dunno!

Hope this helps!

Hello, unfortunately I doubt that the cervix is the cause of this for me as my last speculum examination was, granted, 12 months ago all clear, but I was thoroughly examined by my gynae (who wanted to diagnose a lump in my vagina) and a medical student (who wanted practice) while in theatre for my laparoscopy and had a coil fitted too, but I might ask that at my next consultation I have another speculum examination just to check for this as it solved the problem for you. Thank you! I have always always been so confused about why this would happen.

I have the same thing with the unexpected bleeding - I was on the pill back to back for months with no bleeding whatsoever anymore prior to having an unexpected 11 week constant bleed which was unaffected by the "bleeding-stopping" magic pill I was prescribed and only stopped following the insertion of the coil. So now I only bleed with masturbation that is, as you say, only clitoral stimulation. No matter how much I research, I genuinely cannot understand how endometriosis can cause these types of bleeding. I just can't wrap my head around this condition at all.

Thank you again so much for writing this post - I honestly thought I was the only one!!

I’m 39, I have fibroids and Adenomyosis (not endometriosis.. but I disagree with the doctor). I had Uterine Fibroid Embolization but it did not help, in fact, my periods are worse. But the newest of all symptoms is bleeding after clitoris orgasm. There is not a lot of research into women’s health and since this post is from three years ago, I may not get an answer, but if so, did it ever stop. It’s a lot of blood but it’s coming from my clitoris. Thank you to whomever reads this and responds

Hi hope you are okay! So I’ve taken the pill for 13 years now. 3 weeks I take the pill then week off when I have my period. I have just been diagnosed with Endo I actually have my surgery tomorrow morning to remove it!

But anyway I’ve always had what I suppose is painful intercourse but just assumed it was fairly normal up until all the other symptoms came alongside it. I then obviously realised that it’s not normal to always be in pain during intercourse. I started bleeding after intercourse for quite a while my gp suggested that I take my pill back to back for 3 months with no break. During this time I would bleed after anything sexual at all. I always thought it was really odd and I did mention it to my gp but nothing was ever really said about it! It has stopped but I never really knew the cause of it so just put it down to the Endo!

Hope you get some answers though because I’m assuming from reading others replies that perhaps that isn’t a normal symptom of Endo itself x
