Well booked in for my 4th laparoscopy on Monday 15th jan and it couldn't come sooner although I am getting nervous. The pains the last few months have been really bad for me to the point I'm struggling to walk some days and my days are so long and busy with work too. Yesterday and today has been quite bad. I've got my period and the sciatic type pains in my bum and legs and hips are killing and the pelvic pain :( roll on this operation

Thank you. It's so awful and so many of us suffer with not enough docs knowing enough about it all. It frustrates me. In the past I've had docs fob me off with symptoms saying it's not related to endo. You don't have x-ray eyes and don't have my body. X

I know I wish more doctors were better clued up about endometriosis. It took me TTC 6 years and 3 years of gynae issues to finally get a diagnosis. Many gynaecologists missed it luckily im under a good fertility doctor and if it wasn't for him I would still be undiagnosed. But sadly after my miscarriage my symptoms are back 😐 but my fertility doctor has referred to general gynae I'm seeing 15th. xoxo

I'm going to be having surgery at the rvi in Newcastle upon Tyne which is supposed to have a specialist gyne team. I've been happy with the team so far. Last surgery was in Australia when j lived there and two before were at wansbeck near me too. Symptoms just keep coming back worse and more symptoms . Atleast this time I've gotten 6 years between surgeries. Xx

It may be worth checking with your hospital that your op is definitely going ahead, with the national NHS cancellation of non critical ops in January. I don’t want to worry you by saying this but just wanted to check you are definitely going ahead as scheduled, my first lap was cancelled on the day and I was devastated xxx

Even if you are happy with the gyny, I would still check that they are BSGE. I’m not sure if RVI have BSGE surgeons there. I had mine done at James Cook in Middlesbrough with a BSGE surgeon last week. It’s best to have one of those surgeons so that you’re receiving the best possible treatment. Endo is a complex disease and you want to be in a specialist’s hands for sure. Good luck Hun. Xxx

I heard about it on radio other day. I hope it doesn't get cancelled . And I would of hoped that if it was I would have had more than a weeks notice for it. If I get told on the day there will be hell on as we've had to organise cover at work etc with me being off. Xx

I think a lot of people are being told only when they arrive at hospital, it might be worth phoning to check if there is a real risk your op may be cancelled. There’s always a risk of being cancelled in normal circumstances but I think this month that risk is much higher unfortunately :( xxx

My first ever lap after being told nothing was wrong with me I lost my right ovary and tube and almost my left but they managed to save it. I was 22 so it was very scary for me. The pains are just awful but some days no tablets help and I just have to get on with it. :( I could go on and on about the pains and symptoms I experience but I'm sure all you wonderful ladies have them too! I had an mri and colonoscopy to show it is in my bowel luckiy it hasn't perforated my bowel wall. But I don't know where else it is inside me till they go in and see. I also suffer with really bad shoulderpain during period too and read it can be from endo on the diaphragm . So guess it's just a waiting game xx
