hi all, very new here. I had a laparoscopy on the 19th April so about 10 days ago. Had two ovarian cysts removed and they discovered endometriosis. I’m getting odd pain in the right area where the largest of the cysts was. No where near as bad as the bad I had before, more like a muscle pull. I’m planning to go back to work next Tuesday on half days just to get some routine. Is this normal?
My wounds look completely fine, stopped bleeding after about 4 days post surgery. No issues with bowls now and fine apart from the tiredness. I literally barely left my bed, done the odd walk up and down the stairs and down the road. Been sat in bed doing paint by numbers or uni work for odd hour. But all on a tray nothing against my stomach.
I’ve never had any symptoms of endometriosis till I had the cysts and luckily have private health care.

Sounds like you are making a good recovery 🙂 you’ll only know by doing things if you can manage or not, but great idea going back part time. You’ll likely be tired to start with but we all recover at different rates. I hope the pulling feeling improves soon.
I’m getting a pulling feeling too post op (5 weeks post op now). I didn’t get this with my previous surgeries but think it varies each time. I got mine checked by a GP as I had lumps/masses come up and they seemed to think it was ok. Thankfully I have consultant follow up next week. If you’re worried, you could pop up see your GP (that is if it’s not hard for you to get an appt… its virtually impossible where I live!!!)
Thank you, I spoke with a nurse she said it’s completely normal. I’m hoping to go light hours back to work next week. Plan on the two week date to try driving, as my stomach stitches are gone and able to walk with only small pain. Unfortunately I think cause my bowel habits are all over the place it’s not helping the stomach.
They are, I’m going just not as regular as I was. I think I expected to be completely up and about by week one. But I need to get back to normal for my mental health. Hoping when I try my first drive Friday I’ll be okay
