Pre-op

Hi everyone,

I have my pre op today for my laparoscopy, I've never had anything like this done before! So I don't really know what to expect? What exactly do they do at your pre op? And how long after that do you think my op will be?

Hiya. My pre-op I had blood taken and was weighed and measured. The nurse explained the procedure of what will happen on the day and it was a chance for me to ask questions that I had. I also took my boyfriend with me so he knew what will be happening on the day and how I will be feeling. it’s good to have someone with you! xx

Forgot to say, my lap was already booked in so I had my pre-op 5 days before x

That's great thankyou, I'm a bit worried that I haven't heard when my op is as I go to Florida for 3 weeks in 5 weeks:/x

I would definitely give a call and ask for a date and explain you are going away x

I have tried that but they just said to explain to the nurse today. Surely though If it's after I get back from holiday I will have to have another pre op as it's more than 2 months after. I guess I'll find out today x

I was told the pre op last for 6 months so you will be completely fine.

I had my pre op two months ago and still no word of an appointment for lap!

I am recovering from my laproscopy now. all worth it in the end
