Hi ladies. Those of you who have the coil I wonder if you can tell me if you can feel it or feel pain when you move? I have a stabby kind of pain and trying to figure out if perhaps it is the Mirena or just post lap pain.
I had my lap on 6 th Dec. But this pain is new. Might perhaps have been triggered by a spec exam or attempt at intercourse.

Did you have your Mirena inserted during your lap in Dec?
It sometimes feels like i can feel my Mirena poking me, its hard to explain other than it feels like its irritating your insides. I've had mine check recently and its still in place.

Hi I can't feel a thing, I do worry that it's not there 😩 but it must be !! Have you had yours checked yet ? If you have is it painful ? I had my lap on the 5th Dec and I haven't had any post lap pain for a while.
Hi shazlovesevo yes that's when it was fitted. And yes that's the sort of pain or sensation I'm getting. Can you describe where precisely do you feel the poking ?
Hi Geordie-Girl78 yes I tried to have a speculum check with the nurse last week. Unfortunately I couldn't tolerate the speculum being opened as it was too painful, a new post lap problem. But I was fine when the GP then did a manual check and at least felt the strings.
It just feels like it's irritating my womb if that makes sense🤔 not all the time just now and again xxx
It hurts for a while, if you're still suffering in 6 months go back. If not sooner Xxx
It's intermittent and unpleasant rather than horrendous so tolerable but for the worse intercourse pain but hard to be certain if that is from the lap op or the Mirena.
I worry if I have it out it maybe bad for my nodule growth if I bail now. If it were just for contraceptive purpose I'd have had it out already!
Has a laparoscopy made it worse? :(
