So my first lap is in the morning (super scared of the unknown) I'm booked in for the hospital for 7:30am. I was just wondering what time around you think I'd be out? It's just so I can get my mum or boyfriend to pick me up from the hospital as they are not allowed to wait around for me
Thanks, hope you're all doing well xx

It will all depend on when you actually go down and how long the surgery is. But don't worry they will call your mum or boyfriend for you when you are ready to go home. Good luck.
Depends where you are on the list, and how long the op takes. My first two laps I was in at 7.30am but not home until the evening, my most recent op was scheduled for the afternoon and I didn't go home until the following evening. I must say though that on every occasion I was the one left with complications and every one else had gone home! But, whatever happens in my experience the nurses are lovely and will do everything they can to ensure you are comfortable. You will be able to have your phone so once you come round and are able you will be able to contact your family, but the nurses will do it if you request. My last lap i came round in horrendous pain, crying and asking for my partner, and despite a no visitors allowed policy they called him to come and be with me. It's really not that bad. Good luck.
