I have this permanently now to the extent where my female colleague asked me when I was due! I am having a massive body image confidence crisis as a result.
I'm the exact same, and my stomach is all bloated most of the time
I have a friend coming up when I have my laporoscopy - and from been told that your stomach is going to be even more inflated from the gas and that it rises to your chest, I'm even more worried about how I am going to look!
You know in the third Harry Potter? I am imagining that I am going to look like Aunt Marge...
Do you know if after the op your stomach settles down?
I read online about turmeric helping with endo inflammation so I'm giving this a go. I got some in capsule form from Holland & Barrett. Figured it was worth a try because the bloating gets me down

Unfortunately I can't take turmeric because that thins the blood and I'm already on blood thinners 😐
Think when my endo flares up that's when I get bloating.
Is it cyclic? Like on your period when your ovulating?
If it happens after you eat something that's a sure sign of bowel issues.

Well because of my endo Iv gone into early menopause so don't get periods often 😭 I'm on HRT medication now to help me regulate them.

It may be related to the estrogen your taking however if you're taking progesterone it can cause swelling which may also cause bloating. Some painkillers can too.

Yes Hannah I'm on oestrogen patches and take porgesterone tablets. I don't take any painkillers, I try not to trying to be brave lol. That why I use hot water bottle mainly.

Oestrogen feeds endo, I would really try to switch to another kind since the bloating might be due to that.
It is because I'm not a big eater at all so can't say it happens after a meal. When it happens I'm usually in pain too. My gyno has said this can happen.
I used to get really bloated and then I tried pelvic floor physiotherapy which calmed it down a lot as well as physiotherapy tape which really keeps it down
Both might help if yours is related to muscles which are so inflamed they have no idea what to do but 'push out' and cause bloating.

Thanks Hannah I'll look into it.
I get it a lot and agree it causes massive body issues. i am going to look into the foods which may affect it and I wear elasticated trousers when it is really bad as i do look pregnant. I am hoping to start yoga again as find it helps with endo. Happy Christmas x
I had increased waistline / bloating for the past few years. However, after my excision operation this is definitely improved. A diagnostic lap has made things worse for me as no endometriosis was removed. I tried different style of clothing to disguise the issue. Ultimately the operation is only way to make a difference for me.
I have constant bloating and people who don't know me well think I'm pregnant as that is how I look. This really upsets me cause I had a hysterectomy in April 😥 I do consider myself lucky tho to have 3 beautiful children. Just sick and tired of being in constant pain xx
