I’m at a loss of what to do, I’m eating well and drinking lots of green tea. What are some of your tactics for dealing with endo bloating?! This was me today.. I feel like sending an email round at work explaining no I’m not pregnant, im just bloated. I had several stares this morning!

Bloating...
Oh bless u I feel your pain !
I’m always bloated !!! Always look pregnant, I try everything , I don’t drink cows milk , at all or eat onions xx
Do the bloated comes with pain too?
Have you tried extra strength peppermint pills? I take them up to twice a day and they seem to control my bloating. I still have bad days but have seen a change since using them. You can get them from Holland + Barrett-: hollandandbarrett.com/shop/...
Are you on birth control or visanne or other hormonal treatments? If not, I suggest you consider taking them. In the meantime, what do you feel? Tender? Just bloated with no pain? Do you have constipation or gas? Do you have trouble digesting food? At what endo stage are you? Have you ever had a laparoscopy performed by a REAL endo specialist? What diet are you following exactly?
It's impossible to help you if I don't have enough info.
I am on birth control and have been for 4 months now. I usually get a severe pain and then the bloating starts and just gets progressively worse. Where I get the severe pain then feels very tender and sore. The rest of my belly just aches from the pushing out feeling. No constipation and no gas. It happens way before lunch and I eat fruit and a breakfast bar for breakfast therefore food wise nothing causing it! I’m fine digesting food and no issues normally. This happens every couple of weeks to this extent but I’m usually always a little bloated. I have only seen my specialist 3 times, I have another appointment at the end of this month to discuss my laparoscopy. He has deemed it to most likely be endo but “not severe” which my doctors are fighting about. I was on a FODMAP diet for 3 months, first thing my doctor suggested however it seemed to do nothing to the pain I was in therefore they suggested to eat what I want but take note so that I can see if any patterns occur. But none do! I was more just looking for how to cope with it as it doesn’t seem to be triggered by anything! Thank you.
It seems like your endometriosis is definitely severe, otherwise you wouldn't be in pain while on birth control (also please indicate the name of your birth control and if you stop for 4 or 7 days in between new packs or whatever they are called).
What's a breakfast bar by the way?
I would also suggest looking into healendo.com (she's helped me get rid of my bloating completely!) while you wait for your laparoscopy.
Please, only let one of the best endo surgeons in the country cut you open.
Don't just go to a good endo surgeon that was suggested to you by your gynaecologist or GP. Look for the best and only the best as you will definitely need well-performed excision surgery (preferably not more than one!)
I’m on ovranette, I currently take it for 2 months at a time, stop for 7 then take the new pack. My periods are still horrendous, I was bed bound for 4 days last time and couldn’t walk or even think about working.
Oh a breakfast bar is just like a cereal bar sorry!
I’ll definitely look into that thank you!
I am with bupa at the moment so I have gone private and I chose the specialist not my GP. I do have faith in him but it seems to be that unless I’m screaming and crying I’m not in pain. Like when he gave me an examination a month ago I was a 9 on the pain scale to 10 and just because I sat there breathing and trying to think of something else he assumed I wasn’t in pain.
I will see how my next appointment goes and decide if I want a new specialist or not.
Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it x
You need a better doctor, you need to switch to visanne or norethisterome acetate-based birth control and take it non-stop for at least 6 months straight!!
Plus you need to get a laparoscopy asap. I only know amazing endo surgeons here in Italy or in the US (dr. Vidali). I have no knowledge of UK endo surgeons so you'll need to ask on forums or facebook groups.
