Bloating

I’m just wondering whether any of you who suffer from bloating has had anything done about it by their gynae or gp? I’m wondering whether to mention it more at my next gynae appointment because it’s really starting to get to me. I’m sick of looking like I’m about 8 months pregnant and when looking at the endo diet I feel like I’m really going to struggle because I don’t like fruit or veg so I’ll be extremely limited with my meals.

Has anyone been referred to a dietician or anything? I just need help because my body is just not what it used to be and I really don’t feel confident anymore

I cut out wheat and sugar and it helps but doesn't go completely... Im due a further appointment and will bring it up so if I were you I would mention it to the doctors but do you seriously not like any fruit and veg at all? What do you eat? Eating no fruit and veg is going to cause you a number of further health issues aside from endometriosis - vitamin deficiencies can also cause bloating. To be honest I think you need to bite the bullet and experiment with fruit and veg a little more.

Yeah I’m going to mention it next time I go and no I seriously don’t like anything I’m really fussy with my food. I really want to eat fruit because it looks so nice but when I try to eat it I gag and I just can’t the texture makes me sick.

I was told numerous things by the same gynaeo, first it was that it was caused by gluten (which I cut out, it helped pain but not bloating) and secondly that it was my poop inside me which was sticking out bc I was so skinny! Not sure what to believe, if any, so will ask again at my next appointment but the bloat gets unreal as the pain increases. Maybe try things like smoothies that are good for you but not pure fruit and veg, or things like Nakd bars which contain lots of good stuff but still taste like regular bakewell tart/banana bread etc x

I'm exactly the same, really gets me down! I was on a night out the other week and a girl asked me how far gone I was... I'm not pregnant and I'm not even really big (size 12) I was gutted lol if you find anything let me know please 🤗 I have plenty of fruit and veggies and I'm still getting this!

It does, I go to the gym and eat healthy and it just doesn't seem to make a difference! When all your friends are looking nice and slim and your there with a bloated belly! Luckily my friends and partner are really supportive and always cheer me up 😊 I'm back in Nov for my after op consultation so will see what they say then xx

I am bloated 24/7 and have tried diets, gluten is the worse for me as I get heartburn and really nauseous but it’s hard to cut out as I’m a fussy eater too. It’s horrible as I look pregnant and 18

Exactly the same as me. I’m 19, 20 next week and even thinking about clothes to wear for my birthday night out is horrible especially for us as we’re still young x

Try smoothies to get your fruit in take. It should help with the texture problems you have

It’s horrible. Peppermint tea, kombucha, probiotics help, but I wonder if it’s an immflamation response.
